Hello world!

Hello world,
my name is Dominique, but please please call me Nicki. Only some of my teachers call me Dominique.
I don’t even udnerstand why I have this name because everyone has always called me Nicki.
Oh well, this blog was started because I am in a viral marketing class at Purchase College in New York.
If you are interested, I can tell you a bit about myself:
I was born and raised in Wuppertal Germany. When I was half a year old, my family moved to Japan for 1 year. My mother is convinced that i spoke Japanese before I spoke German, since everybody was always talking to me in Japanese. However, I have no knowledge of Japanese except for one song about the nose of an elefant and how long it is.
We moved back to Germany and my daily life consisted of going to elementary school and afterwards playing soccer or going into the woods with my friends.
When I was nine, my father decided to move to New York. USA. North America. instant shock.
The only English that I knew was table, chair and dog. We refused to move but in the end had to give in kicking and screaming.
This is how I ended up at the German School of New York in White Plains, NY.
My life at GSNY was interesting since the school only had 375 kids ranging from kindergarten to 12th grade.
Now I am at Purchase College where I joined my sister as a student. I am an Arts Management student and love the major at least until now. This college has opened up a lot of opportunities for me and introduced me to so many different types of people. This blog will generally be about my life at Purchase College, but also about me, my personal life, my friends or any cool events that I stumble upon!
